I’ve just spent four amazing days at a mastermind retreat in Tucson. In addition to eating great food and enjoying the company of great friends, I was working on improving the services I offer my coaching clients and the overall success and impact of Doctors On Purpose. This is my sixth mastermind retreat in the past 15 months. Most of the 85 other people in my mastermind are women, which is a big advantage for me, partly because I like hanging out with smart women, but also because there’s no waiting in line for the bathroom.
It’s incredibly powerful to connect in this way with a group of people who are committed to being of more value and service to the world while at the same time building businesses that reward them financially. It’s a social model that has such great promise and is so exciting to me. Dozens of conversations over the past few days have reaffirmed that my mission of helping doctors and other professionals live more joyful and meaningful lives is an important one, and inspired me to keep reaching even higher for my dreams.
The leader of my mastermind, and one of my mentors in business (and life,) is Lisa Sasevich (on my right in the photo.) She’s bright, witty, attractive and very successful. Lisa’s found her genius in helping people develop successful businesses around their gifts, talents and passions. Her approach is so unique and effective that Lisa is also mentoring some of the most prominent and successful people in the sales, marketing and personal development fields. Because she’s so authentic and likeable, Lisa has attracted to her a literal army of heart-centered entrepreneurs spanning the globe. People who are drawn to her style and methods come together from distant parts of the globe to learn from her and to help each other grow and prosper—in business and in life.
My other star mentor (on my left in the photo) is Andrea J. Lee. Andrea is the founder of The Wealthy Thought Leader, and has been one of the superstars of the coaching industry. Her passion now is teaching entrepreneurs about innovation and utilizing new technologies to increase the reach and impact of their messages. She’s quiet, thoughtful and serene, and has amazing insight and laser clarity about what works and what doesn’t work in business and marketing. She seems to know at least something about everything!
Lisa and Andrea are an incredible team and I’m blessed to be working with them.
So these past few days have been spent connecting deeply with a wide variety of people, including ex-CEO’s, pet communicators, energy healers, marketing experts, weight loss specialists, relationship experts, you name it. I’ve worked on improving my live presentations, better identifying my ideal client (the people I most want to work with) and refining the processes I use to influence people to make the commitment to improving their own lives by working with me. I’ve been receiving encouragement and honest feedback from dozens of people who now understand my vision and are supporting me in my growth and success, as I support them in theirs.
I loved every minute of it and have many fresh and exciting ideas to start implementing right away. I’m coming away from this mastermind experience with many new friendships and alliances, and even more passion for the journey I’m on.
The most important point I’d like you to take away from this post is the power of being part of a mastermind group. If you are interested in moving your life forward and having greater reach, nothing is more powerful and valuable than becoming part of a group of like-minded people who are dedicated to helping you achieve your dreams.
In a future post I’ll be sharing more of the specific benefits I’ve experienced through masterminding.
Until next time,
Be Happy, Healthy and Prosperous.
